It's been 24hrs since I've primed a metal figure using Floquil. Is this ample time enough before I begin painting? If not, what is the recommended drying time before painting? Thanks!

Ronnie

24 hours is usually a good rule of thumb. The climate you're in and the time of year will vary the drying time. But 24 hours is the general rule.

As Jim indicated, the weather conditions can have a big effect on how
quickly the primed figure is ready to accept paint. A lot of humidity or after
a big rain shower can definitely affect applying a primer coat.

Of course, the best teacher is experience. I suggest you prime something
that is just for practice and take note of how it works out. Modelbuilders do
not like surprises, is my opinion. Learn the lessons on a practice piece, first.

Good luck,
