Hello Friends,

here are the first pictures of the our German Figurine Show "Herzog von Bayern" - "Duke of Bavaria". The pictures are not sorted and show all the figurines that won a award - from Novices up to the Masters.

http://www.ingolstadt-herzog-von-bayern.de...bin/diashow.cgi

Our Figurine Show was held from 28.04.2006 - 30.04.2006 at the Historical Museum of the Bavarian Army at the Ingolstadt Castle.

We had 780 Figurines in Competition, with this number of entries this was the biggest figurine show held up today in Germany.

Our guests come from Belgium, Scotland, Italy, France, Austria, Hungaria, Swizerland, England and Germany.

Later we will show more pictures and a list of all award winners.

We hope you enjoy the pics and perhaps we will meet you next year.

Best regards,
Markus

Hi , Thanks for the link Some really great figures... must have been a good show.

Thanks a lot for the pics Markus!

Next to a lot of "usual suspects", I especially liked the following two.
Any idea who made them? The vignette looks like Nello Rivieccio's style. Maybe brought to the show by Fabio Nunnari?

Best wishes,

Marijn

...and the second one: a quiet but very beautifull figure in opinion, with a very nice pose and really good balance.

Hello Marijn,

you picked out some of my favourite figures, too. I liked the vignette as for the tight composition and the way the space of the base is used to its limit. Really gives the impression of hand-to-hand combat. Nevertheless the painting could not really match the composition and could still be improves, so I don't think it is from the hands of Nello Rivecchio.

As for the other figure it's by Stefano Borin. Nice pose and subdued colours, one of the best works in the open category.
