CRS-3 Carl Reid Sculptures
Eastern Viking, 10th Century
Sculpted by Carl Reid
Painted by Sang-Eon Lee
1/9th scale resin & metal

Viking 01.jpg

This is the first of three reviews I will be doing for Carl Reid Sculptures over the next few weeks. Released last May, the 1/9th scale resin and white metal bust kit is cast in a pale yellow resin with the axe and hands cast in white metal.

Arriving in a sturdy white cardboard box with the parts sandwiched between two layers of foam the kit parts are well protected against damage during shipping. The small white metal parts are packaged in a small clear zip-lok bag to insure against loss in transit.

The bottom photograph above shows the kit unpacked and ready for inspection.

Conclusion:
An excellent bust depicting the Eastern Viking in the 10th Century. Cleanly cast with minimal clean-up needed prior to painting. All dry-fitting was excellent. Highly recommended.
