I would Like to thank you all for your kind words , comments and tips, and heads up!
You have made me feel quite at home here at planetfigure.com,

My book "The Art of Painting Miniatures : Faces & Figures " from Compendium Books, London is due for release some time around April of this year!
Which will deal with fresh new concepts, and techniques in a new and dynamic approach to painting miniatures. I will be posting my tips and techniques, on my web page in a how-to format!
In the meantime if I can be of help just let me know!
Thanks, Alex

Alex,
Wow...I really like the effect you get with your flesh tones...I can see how the subtle application of green can make the tones even more dramatic. Looking forward to your book's release. Please let us know when it hits the bookstores; thanks!
Amazing...

Huh... is that a pic of a real nude person? Is that allowed here on planetfigure?

 seriously, Alex I do like the way you paint human skin - so damn lifelike!! (y) (y) (y)

Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo saw it ,and personally complimented me on it !

Thanks
Alex

I am not surprised to hear that Alex! I first thought it was a pic of a real naked woman!!!   Your painting is awesome, and reminds, in a three-dimensional way , of the paintings that Julie Bell does herself. They do have a few other fine sculptures for sale I saw... and a kit of that lovely vampire's kiss two figure vignette. What material are these cast in, is it that heavy polyester resin they also use for making study casts of bird carvings in the USA?

Well, I would certainly like to see what you can do with some of the better 120mm military figures that are available - would be awesome I guess... (y) (y) (y)

Hi Alex,

Three quick things:

1. Well done on your 1/4th scale figure. Looks life like.

2. Can hardly wait for the book to be released - will get myself one.

3. You mentioned a Julie Bell Boris Vallejo web site - and other miniatures etc they released - could you kindly include the web site address please - will love to have a look at this.

Thanks for the posting and effort. well done
