Received this new Elite Miniatures kit from Steve Kirtley last week and finally got round to taking a look at it today. Many thanks to Steve at SK Miniatures for a very efficient and professional service.
Here are all the components of the kit. On inspection there is minimal clean up and very little in the way of mould lines, all parts are well cast and packed in between two layers of thick foam for transport protection.
The main torso is cast in one piece and the head is separate with the bonnet also cast with the head.
The right hand that holds the war hammer just dropped into place, once glued there is no evidence of using any filler in the joint, a very snug fit.
The feathers for the back drop of the bonnet are cast in three groups on a casting spru, these can be left on for painting purposes to make it easier to handle.
The other parts are the side extensions of the bonnet and bow case, all very well detailed and cast.
The shield shows very nice detail in the close up image below.
All parts are cast to a high quality and packed well; every part fits very precisely, minimal clean up, there is a painting guide included on a separate sheet inside the box.
A very nice kit of the enthusiasts of this period in history. Highly recommended
