Any thing delivered by mail is good:D Over here they make a living taking packages of the doorsteps and get photographed doing so:nailbiting: One lady lost her dog food this way and so left a box of doggie waste on the doorstep and lost that also on video???:arghh:
Cheers

John, To the best of my knowledge no packages are allowed to be left on doorsteps here, unless expressly instructed to do so.

This is a timely thread..

Packages from courier that aren’t signed are left at the door..mail packages ..well they come for sure if tax due, but we know the delivery guy and he brings then to us anyway..we have a chat and on he goes...they are contract people...and great..our mail itself is hit and miss..from the US is horrible, all goes through San Francisco, so something from 100 km south of here in the States goes back and forth, then to Vancouver..express from eastern Canada is a week or less..regular parcel..three at least..and from overseas...well England here is several months. The best..from Germany...couple of weeks..the UK bit is driving me nuts..seems in part due my western Canada location so it goes to some depot in eastern Canada and gets lost..from Germany...I think comes direct to Vancouver.

So..to my point...I’ve had pieces totally more money than I care to toss away go walkabout over the last months..have had deliveries from Germany like the trains and yes, they make fine watches..glashutte...the orders lost had been placed as far back as September. In last few days I’ve contacted the vendors..and I try to deal with small outfits...well, ever one..every single one..has offered to make good and supply new..stop and think folks..that’s money out of their pockets, postage, lost sales in send8ng another piece etc..time, trouble..yet every one got stuck in and offers to help..no sod off go talk to Paypal...but every one throws in to help.

I will for sure will offer to pay more for shipping and see how the expedited sled dogs make out and will cover such for any replacements, and hope to buy a fresh piece to double up with the replacement..but I want to compliment all the class acts we deal with..things go awry, always..but it’s a measure of people in how they deal with it that counts.

Nothing in mail again..my wife and chief financial officer has laid down the law..don’t order anything from England again...will try Singapore and then am going to give it up except for things from Germany. You guys talk about three days..I would be happy with three months

I agree with Roger, 3 days is lightspeed for a post office to another! But you have to consider the time of the order when holidays are "involved"..
My order from Russia arrived at 13 days (ordered 2/12 and came 15/12) BUT it arrived at the Greek airport. Because of Christmas and New year holidays it took 23 days to come form Greek airport to my place not far away from Athens... Some factors may cause delays but in Roger's case can eliminate distances!

The Russian Post is much better and more reliable at the moment than her reputation, which dates back to earlier times.

What really takes a long time is customs clearance in the recipient country. Whether that has something to do with the Russia boycott over the Crimea? The thought has already come to me.

What is really problematic at present, the UKRAINIAN Post!
Cheers

December 28 and you are concerned? I have items from England shipped October and no sign ..out of Singapore the issue becomes as Martin says ..a local problem..all small packages are being inspected for fentanyl
