This is my initial sketch for the new El Greco Miniatures release of a 120mm British Chindit, Burma 1942-45. For those of you with a good memory you'll remember I started a larger scale,one off sculpt of a Chindit last year, and after talking to El Greco it was decided that it would be nice to offer a similar figure in a slightly smaller scale. Over the next couple of days I'll be posting up some of the progress pics of the sculpt. For those of you who are interested I've also created a new Webshots folder with some colour images of typical Chindit uniform and kit should you need them (see the link opposite). I really hope you like the figure as I hope to do some more. I'm off to Arnhem next later on in the week for the 65th Anniversary of Market Garden where I hope to get some decent reference pictures and maybe even improve my sketching skills! Cheers all.
