My apologies for not replying to your comments earlier, I've been doing extra Grandad duties, and now have a stinking cough and cold.
Thank you for all your kind replies, it was a fun piece to paint in between decorating. Sadly for me there's still some more decorating ahead.
Fingers crossed I can find some time to get to the bench, as I find it helps to paint as regularly.
