Well spotted I'd missed the sophistication and subtlety of Ron's post.....insightfull and enlightening

I don't speak Scottish but I think he means did you notice any new trends in painting styles at Euro 2012, and what were your thoughts about the style/s

I noticed a few pieces on which shades of black & white had been used to render metals (sword blades and the like).

Of course it could have been around since Adam was a lad and I'd just never noticed it before, but it was new to me at least.

I saw that the coolminers look is less then the years before.
There where some figures where the faces where almost black, and I must admit they got my attention
I whas never a fan of this darkness, but now I'm glad it is going away.
Up to the natural painting.

Not sure if this is a trend but I noticed a few medal winning figures by different painters had quite purple skin tones. This isn't a criticism - although they weren't exactly natural skin tones, they were extremely well painted.

In fact you're right guys there were a few figures leaning towards the purple at Euro. Indeed I hear that those well known modellers Shakespeare and Colleridge were heard discussing this "O Sam, Woad is me, T'have seen what I have seen, see what I see!"...... "Yer right there Willie, Mauver, Mauver, everywhere , with a little drop of pink.
