Ok guys and gals

latest trend in all things painting, thoughts of who were there.

Sorry for the italics but just upgraded the memory , things just a little quirky :(

I noticed a few pieces on which shades of black & white had been used to render metals (sword blades and the like).

Of course it could have been around since Adam was a lad and I'd just never noticed it before, but it was new to me at least.

I saw that the coolminers look is less then the years before.
There where some figures where the faces where almost black, and I must admit they got my attention:(
I whas never a fan of this darkness, but now I'm glad it is going away.
Up to the natural painting.

Marc

Not sure if this is a trend but I noticed a few medal winning figures by different painters had quite purple skin tones. This isn't a criticism - although they weren't exactly natural skin tones, they were extremely well painted.

Yip purple is the new flesh tone Edward ,well spotted, just nipped into Glasgow and bought a bucket load

In fact you're right guys there were a few figures leaning towards the purple at Euro. Indeed I hear that those well known modellers Shakespeare and Colleridge were heard discussing this "O Sam, Woad is me, T'have seen what I have seen, see what I see!"...... "Yer right there Willie, Mauver, Mauver, everywhere , with a little drop of pink.

Take it from one who knows (I was there honestly) Petes swashbucking to and from the butter was a thing of beauty!
It was not so well received by Moz who seemed to be hiding in his breakfast at the time...
Nice to see you in action Pete, despite what people say.
