Dear Planeteers,
it's been a while since I finished my last project. This knight's bust was sitting in my stash for several years now. Then inspiration hit me :) and here is the result.
After a little bit of research, I found enough evidence that armour has been actually painted in the middle ages.

If you are interested, I used AK Washable Agent for the worn effect of the helmet. Once the mix is applied you can remove the desired quantity with a brush moistened in water.

Hope you like my knight and happy painting everyone

Looks good. For the distressed helmet did you use one of the chipping techniques or sponge it to get that effect?

Hi Sven

Great to see you sharing the latest

Nice research as well

This bust has a great sculpted face , well highlighted by your painting

Like the helmet work and the heraldry....is this based on anyone in particular?

Hi Rob,
as mentioned, I did not use the hairspray method but AK's Washable Agent.
Cheers

Hi Nap,
just pure imagination. White an blue just work well together. And the rather small space on his chest limited the options. Initially, I wanted to paint a cross but I am glad that I decided againt ist.
Cheers,
Sven
