EVZON 1913

Here is the new article of Athens miniature sculpted by Babis Stathis. Represents an "evzon" (inafantryman, acting as modern "special forces") during the balkanic wars of 1912-13.

Painted with acrylics and artists oils. A very nice piece, full of character, good anathomy, posture, accesories and of cource originality. Congratulations Babis !

Theodoros,

this is a really great sculpt. It remains me how i was imagine the Greeks when i was reading books (and there was not TV)and told us how the greek warriors look like.
So, it remainds me at my childhood, and therefore it is on the wishlist.

I really like the figure, I hope it does well in competition. The Balkan Wars of 1912-1913 are a fascinating subject but uniform wise there are very few good references in english sources. What were yours for the evzone of this period?
