I almost blew past this but it is a superb film documenting a Western Front battlefield tour given to a bunch of Scots school children but a very charismatic Scots guide. It runs about 90 minutes but it is a video that every high school student should see if he/she is not able to attend such a tour in person. It helps that the piece ends with a stirring "Green Fields of France" by the Corries.

Thanks for that Colin,there's a man who is passionate about his subject and makes history interesting and moving. It was fascinating to see the impact it had on the school kids and as you say every high school student should see this.
 
That's how to teach history... actually it's how to teach anything......passion and enthusiasm.
Sadly most teachers get these two qualities beaten out of them by the system.
As John says every secondary / high school pupil should see this. A bit tough on the jaded teachers though.
