Recently I acquired a figure by Fabrimore Soldiers,a new brand apparently owned and run by esteemed modeler and PF memember Fabrizio Marini.
It is a 54mm Roundhead cast in grey resin.
After opening the box and inspecting it I must say that it left me with a big smile on my face....
The roundhead is well proportioned,in a relatively simple but expressive posture.
The face in particular is very interesting.
The casting is very good with minimal cleaning needed.
The fit of the parts is very good and the left arm that holds the lobster tailed pot tight against the body is so well engineered and designed that the whole thing goes together smoothly.
The soldier comes in a "back and breast" over a buff coat, fluffy breeches characteristic of the period, turned down riding boots and is holding his mortuary sword in his right hand.
The kit comes with an alternative right hand making it possible to have the sodier holding his pistol instead of his sword.
The overall quality of the kit is very good indeed and the resin is soft enough to cut but sturdy enough too for even the thinnest parts to be straight and without any warp.
An additional plus was Fabrizio himself, always ready and willing to address any problems and answer any questions in the friendliest possible manner.
