Just a reminder that, on Saturday, 28th June, hundreds of (tiny) troops will be swarming into Faversham, when the Faversham Military Modelling Group will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary at the Alexander Centre, 15-17 Preston Street, right in the middle of Faversham, a pretty Kentish market town.

We are hoping that it will be a celebration of modelling, with the atmosphere of a club get-together and so are inviting fellow hobbyists to bring their best work to put on display on the tables while the public and fellow modellers will then be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite exhibit.

And, to mark the anniversary of the start of the Great War, there will be just one competition which will be for models that directly relate to that conflict. So, not only figures and busts can be entered but also First World War vehicles, aircraft, ships etc., as well as civilian subjects involved in war work.

Other modelling clubs will be supporting Faversham, including those from Welling, Gravesham, Shepway, Aldershot and the Flat Figure Society together with traders such as Historex Agents, CGS Military Figures, 2D Figurines, Roger Saunders, Sovereign 2000 and Hawk Miniatures who are also hoping to bring along some of Sphere Products' paint racks, work stations and other inovative accessories.

Admission will be free for everyone (as long as children are accompanied by an adult) and the doors will be open from 10 am until 3.30 pm. Light refreshments will be available and don't forget that Faversham is the home of the Shephern Neame brewery!

See, now, from the title of your post, I thought you might be referring to a mildly salacious episode of some BBC sitcom.

Prost!
Brad

Looking forward to it John.

With the Shepherd Neame brewery round the corner I think I'll take the train, I'm partial to a pint of 'Spitfire' ale!

Cheers!
Jon.

Faversham has always been a very talented club, and when you consider they were one of the smallest, then that's no mean achievement. They have been lucky to have a good Founder Skipper, who still steers the Ship.
