The "Spider Monkey" (or "Stapler") was invented - to this day an indispensable piece of equipment in every office and also in almost every household...!
A few years earlier - in 1866 - Attorney McGill (who was obviously not working to full capacity as a lawyer) had patented a predecessor device, in which a new piece of wire had to be inserted before each stapling process because it had no magazine....:
