Figure Model Shops in New York

Hi,

I will be in the fortunate position of travelling to New York in a couple of weeks and I always make a point to buy at least one model (figure) when visiting a new country.

Can anyone recommend a model shop that has a good figure selection in New York.

Unfortunately there no longer any figure or hobby shops in New York City.

That's the real downside of the WWW. The pleasure of wandering around a model shop, looking at displays chatting to the staff and discovering something that just fits what you need.
On a couple of occasions I've suggested a thread where members can list model shops city by city. There was no real interest so I guess we'll just have to keep posting requests for info.
Anyway enjoy NY Anthony......have a Manhattan in Manhattan avoid Queens though

Doesn't Sentinel still have a store front outside of NY City out in Valhalla? Been several years since I've been there though.

I am absolutely speechless..........not even one!!!!!! I suppose the internet has done some damage, but as DEL says, you miss all the fun of walking around, seeing the figures, meeting other modellers.... Any thoughts on Washington or Miami, any change they are less civilized and have any model shops???????? Anthony

Manhattan = Yes...Queens = No. It remindeds me of a quality movie...Coming to America....one of y all time favourites:

p.s. if anyone ever come to Greece, Athens we have quite a few "old fashioned" model shops, I would be happy to provide recommendations!

Sentinel has closed its store front and mainly does mail order and shows.
