Hi guys, I have just completed Athos and want to post pics. I just can't reduce the images down to a 50k limit, and make them of any use. Any Idea's????

Reduce the size and compress the file by converting it to jpeg fromat. Any photo editing software should do these two things. It shouldn't be any problem to compress the image to under 35k. Resolution may be too high, 72dpi is high enough resolution for viewing on the web.

What imaging software are you using, if Photoshop use the Save As Web function in JPG and it will strip out all the unnecessary file info associated and just leave the image for posting.

:( 500+. I just can't keep the clarity.
yow!, is it in TIFF format?

Have you Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?

send me or one of us the pic and we'll see what we can do...

Hardy,

I think your Athos is as good as any that you have painted! I would like to know what you used for your flesh mixtures. Could you please tell us?

Keep up the GREAT work!

Hi Hardy

Yep, I agree with Joe. You certainly take advantage of oils to achieve texture in your materials. Once you've blended the shading, do you go back over and stipple to achieve the texturing?

He looks very good.

Thanks Guys.

All weathering is done wet on wet, I will send Gordy some more pics ( hope you don't mind Gordy) to work his magic on. These will explain better.

The colours have all bleeded over each other, just can't get used to this reduction thing. Time to buy photoshop!

Pics look fine to me! (& my monitor here @ work is a pile of cr*p!)
I'd be interested in hearing your approach to blonde hair. I've been putting it off since I got back into figures (my old approach was fine for 25~28mm Fantasy figures, but won't do for anything else :( ) & I'm getting to a point where I can't put it off any longer!

Cheers

Simon
