First Bust painting exercise - Yuri Gagarin

I've finally got round to painting my first bust - i'm still fairly new to figure painting, but i'm pretty please with this, I learnt a lot from it, especially about painting eyes!

I bought the figure last year from 2 dreamers who are based in Czechoslovakia. It;s the Yuri Gagarin one from a range of cosmonauts and astronauts that they do. The moulding was first class and only required the removal of the mould gates blocks.

Block colours were painted using an airbrush and then finished by hand. All done with a mixture of Valejo and Revel aqua acrylics.

I'll definitely be buying another from them.

These astronaut are very impressive and look forward to the next

Bring it to BC and you are more than welcome to sneak it off the Caen Club display of 4 tables to the Planet Figure display !

Still time to paint another ..lol
