I have just started sculpting and wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

This is my sixth sculpt at all and my first sculpt using Fimo.
He is measuring 36mm,scalewise 1:48 and head/body ratio 1:7.
He was intended as a lesson in realistic human anatomy
Head and hands were quite problematic, but more because of the lack of a proper armature. It wood have been much easier,if I had bulked up the armature.
Some criticism would be fine, especially regarding proportions.
I already know that his ears are to big. :)
Sorry, but the pics aren't the best,a bit fuzzy and distorted.

Thorsten, You did a good job given that's a hard scale to sculpt in. The part that stands out for me is the right arm. It could be a little better proportioned, especially the area of the shoulder.~Gary

Thank you.

There's probably a lot more that could be bettered.
I won't alter him and keep him as a reference for further project.

Hello Thorsten,

I think you did a very good job indeed! The human body is maybe the hardest thing to replicate, especially when naked. You also got a quite well balanced pose.

I second the comment on the right arm though: it should definitely start higher at the shoulder.
I also think you should make sure to think enough in 3 dimensions all the time. The torso looks a little 2-dimensional to me: good front view with great detail, but quite flat around the belly and especially the pelvis area (his bottom). This should be easy enough to fix in this figure, but I think you are right to get on with the next one, keeping the things you learned from this figure in mind.

Keep up the good work!

Marijn

I enjoyed looking at your nude model. It appears to be stretched to me. I agree with the other fellow that it looks a little two dimensional. I am planning to do a nude model as well. One of my references pointed out to get the form first before getting into the fine details. You are to be commended for reaching out to expand your knowledge and skills. When I get my figure done, I will share a photo of it.
