In September there will finally be some unpainted novelty by "First Legion" - fortunately after the Fusilier, the flag bearer and the drummer a continuation of the series with soldiers of the French Revolutionary Army ...:

Title: French Revolutionary Grenadier 1796-1800
Scale: 75 mm
White metal
Sculptor: Maksim Voronin
Boxart: Aleksandr Kataurov
Number: FL7505

Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu’un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

To the arms, citizens,
form your bataillons,
let's march, let's march!
Impure blood
soaks our furrows!

Cheers

Wow, great looking release! Looking forward to seeing one of these kits on a vendor table in the future. Anyone out there had an experience with these kits and can vouch for them?

Hi Terry;
I have two of this series; the infantryman and the standard bearer. They are some of the finest metal figures I have ever built. Minimal mould line clean up to deal with, flawless fit of parts and I think the pictures speak for themselves as to pose, and subject matter. The details of the sculpture are not lost in the moulding process so the paint just slides on so easily, it practically paints itself. They are pricey, perhaps some of the more expensive kits in this scale but I am glad I spent the money on them and have plans to pick p a few more down the road.

I have the first in the series and they are faultless, I concur what ghamilt1 says

I'm a great fan of this range, and they are the only metal figures I will buy these days, being as there's such a marvellous choice in resin offerings. (Easier on the old hands, see ) I can recommend Maison Militaire for their service and customer care. [email protected]
I recently completed the first three Revolutionary figures, and can vouch for their quality. Pictures to follow eventually, when I can work out the doings on my new little camera.

It looks as though this figure won't appear yet awhile, I'm informed by Tina Packwood at Maison Militaire, as a lot of First Legion stuff is caught up in US Customs due to the trade war with China ! Ain't international politics fun ? Discuss, with answers on a postcard to..........

Thanks everyone for your comments on First Legion! I greatly appreciate it(y)

Question, do the French Revolutionary Era figures come with optional heads w. Bicorne or Sheepskin Cap with flaps?
