I think he may of given up on First Legion as I have not seen any new figures from them for quite a while now, Avanpost range is growing.

While talking to some Russian friends, I learned that the 75mm metal French revolutionaries from First Legion are the work of Maksim Voronin, the sculptor of the Avanpost range. So in my grey army they had to be!

Exciting period as it allows for some freedom painting the ragtag uniforms of the day.

The 1812 Russians are waiting on the bench, they too excellent , with very fine detail and faultless casting, In contrast to the early French however, they have to stick rigorously to the prescribed uniform regulations of the period.
