Hi everybody,
I've just joined this forum which is very good place for critics and comments. I'm very impressed by all the very good artists here, it's a good source for inspiration!!
I've started to play with clay about 6 months ago and I just love it. I've done 9 sculptures so far, mainly elves.
I'm improving slowly my sculpting technic but still stryggle with some aspect of the process, like making a good armature, smoothing and painting.
Let me show you a bit of my work. Any comments and critics are more than welcome.

INCREDIBLE!

What you gonna do 6 months from now? Patchwork & quilting? Just kidding.

I've seen the tutorials on your website but would like more details about tools, materials,... Can you share with us some of your techniques?

In any case, hats off! Fabrice, you're a natural.

Hi Fabrice, and a big welcome to the planet..!!

It really looks like you're enjoying the sculpting, (great job with the Super Sculpey) and it looks like you have a great understanding of the female form, these are all very attractive poses, and I don't think any of them look awkward in any way..the shapes and proportions are very slim and shapely..some of the poses you have chosen to model are not exactly easy either, and they have turned out great, with some very good detail and textures. Really like the movement and also the way you are handling the hair on what looks like the later pieces.

Very interesting stuff..looking forward to seeing your future projects.

All the best...Roy.

3 new sculptures I made of super sculpey the last few weeks. The black african queen is #11 in my collection.
I've used acrylic to colour the clay(not to paint)
prior to baking process for the cloths of the ninja girl and also for the dark skin of the african queen.

I have more photos on my blog to show the sculptures at different stage of the sculpting process.

Merry Xmas!!!

Hi All, thansk for all the comments and Happy New Year!!
Here is a new sculpture I did to start this hopefully prolific year.
He's the first male character I've done so far, and I really enjoyed working on the details.

Hi Fabrice,

Awesome work! You must run on Energizer batteries! Your output is really fast. The poses and musculature of your figures are really top notch!

I think there aren't enough female sculptures around (at least those without big b*** and in compromising poses!). Somehow you've managed to capture the young childlike look. Most of the commercial figures out there have failed to capture the gentle female facial features and childlike features.

Would love to see you selling castings or producing more children or womenlike figures. Please keep the pics coming.

Cheers
Basil
