Hello everyone!

I show you my first work on a flat figure.

Hope you enjoy it as much I enjoyed painting it!

Is this an actual 'Flat' ??. and if so how large is it, scale wise. and who produced it! .. As I have my doubts :cautious:

I cant help thinking that for some reason, this piece does not 'Ring-True'

Sorry,

Mark

That's a alto-relief flat, Mark! it's if i'm correct a ceramic cast relief flat by Mussini of Italy! this version is absolutely stunning! that is some painting Gus;) Oil or Acrylics?

Then please, 'Enlighten', me as to who? ..As I am not the 'Font of all Knowledge'.

Neither am I Mark.
Being a 'nebby' newcomer, I have a tendency to peek at the Members' details.
That led me to Gustavo Gil.
I'm sorry, but I just assumed that was what most people did; and that serves to prove that 'assumption is the Mother of all F**k-ups'.

Wow, this is painted at an extremely high standard Gustavo! The colours, tones, transitions, NMM on the metal post...it's all spot on and it very much looks like a classical painting!

As you are such an expert that I am almost embarrassed to comment, but please allow me one nitty-gritty comment: I don't think the dark line at the bottom of the Madonna's eyes is very realistic. There should not be a shade there. The eyes of the (famous) baby boy don't have that line and look more realistic.....in my humble opinion....

But wow, what painting! Just great.

Cheers,
Adrian

This is the best rendtion of this flat I've certainly seen. Makes me itch for the brush. I've never seen this for sale and I'm not sure how to get hold of one.
This is an excellent thread, thanks for sharing.

Thanks to all!!
