Is there a proper name for the picture frame with a sort of box at the back you flat guys use so much ? I thought I might mount that watch I was given in it to keep it both safe and nicely displayed.
That's right Ron, a link was posted on the BFFS forum not long ago for some nice ones available online.
I'm at work so can't find it but a search should turn it up.
If you are in the USA, you can try Hobbly Lobby or Michael's carft stores. They have a wide variety of frames that are suitable for framing flats, whether single pieces or multi-part. Some of these frames are deep. Others are even deeper and known as shadow boxes. These are glass enclosed and can have a number of shelves added to the inside.
Chippy also gave me this link http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/search/box frames and they do some nice ones but being a cheapskate umm in a hurry I opted for the Wilko one at £3 instead Thanks to all who answered
