Hello. I recently inherited many unpainted EK Casting figurines including European knights, warriors, gladiators and lots more.

There are also some Japanese and American figurines in there...

These have been very well taken care of...I was thinking $10 per EK Casting figurine, and $7.50 per "tin" figurine (There was no brand on these figurines so I'm not sure who made these). That would not include shipping.

Here are photos of all the ones that I'm selling:

Message me if you are interested and we can discuss details.

Thanks!

(FYI- official site for EK Castings is http://ekcastings.com)

These are now spoken for (I've updated the flickr page accordingly):

  • EK #7 Teutonic Knight with Banner
  • EK #6 Menisinger 54mm
  • TIN #30 Viking Norseman
  • TIN #32 Knight of the First Crusade
  • TIN #50 William Wallace
  • TIN #52 Viking Norseman w/horn

Are these not recasts? Of figures currently on the market legally? I am pointing no fingers but I can identify the companies who own a lot of them and it is not EK Castings.

Well she's designated EK and then there are others that are "Tin" as she does not know who made them - some are 54mm and others are smaller. They aren't all EK does Andrea put a makers mark on their figures?

ETA: I dug up one of my Andrea minis and opened the box. They do have a maker's mark on the bottom of the base. So if she's got all the original bases, she should be able to tell if they say Andrea.

The ones that are marked EK Castings or Saint George's Cross are definitely authentic and are engraved with the signatures on the bottom of the figurines. I'm not sure who made the ones marked "tin," I was able to find the descriptions through an Ebay seller and a few Web sites. They always called them "Tin" so I just went with it.

"EK Castings" figurines - Look like Pegasos to me?

Not questioning the integrity or innocence of the seller, but there are lots of Pegaso 54mm figures amongst that lot to name but one company. Individually, the figures seem to be simply renamed by another descriptive title to try and disguise this; by design or otherwise? Perhaps they have been "tweaked" or altered in some very minor and insignificant way but there is no denying their place of origin.

Simply my own observations.

Gary

Alright, like I said I inherited these so I'm not exactly knowledgeable on recasts/etc. I thought I would post the bottom of the base of some "tin" figurines and see if anyone on here has any information of the maker/authenticity/etc. I also will post the bottom of the base for an EK figurine...Any info helps here :)

Maria, you mention the pieces were inherited, yet I've received some reports that a few of these are shady recasts.

We at planetFigure don't permit any trade with illegal recasts, first or second hand, however myself or the staff have no control over trade outside of planetFigure. I ask everyone to behave leniently since you've come into their possession innocently and you are a new member. :)
