Von Bock
A Fixture
Hello,
First let me introduce myself. My names Brock Hopkins III and I have been a figure and bust builder for a few years. This is my first figure review so please bear with me. I'm lucky as the first review I have decided to do is with the outstanding Chindit bust by Forlorn Hope Miniatures. Sculpted by David Ridley and painted by John Belcher. These gentelmen have done an outstanding job. Ok on to the review:
FHM Bust-003
1/6th Scale WWII Chindit.
Review Item purchased by myself, with my wifes blessing. lol.
The bust came in a very sturdy box, and was wrapped quite well. No damage was found from it's trip from Australia to me in Ohio. Also there is a photo of the finished piece on the top of the box.

The bust is cast in a light grey resin and is very easy to work with. Parts break down as, Main torso, right and left arms, backpack, slouch hat, and cigarette. Also included are three pictures of the bust from different angles.

Clean up on the bust was very easy. It took me about a half hour to clean up the bust with a medium scotch brite pad and fine sand paper. I also removed the carrier from the hat. This bust was one of the easier clean ups I have ever had to do.

I test fitted the parts and they fit very well. There might be a little fill needed around the arms but very little and a bit on one side of the hat where it joins his head also very little. This also was a nice change from some bust I have done fill wise. The detail on the parts is really unbelievable. To the point of scary. The attention to detail is really something. The right hand is very nice.

The tears on the left sleeve are also very well done. As is the backpack.

The only worry I have on this bust is that I will never be able to give Mr. Ridley's bust the same life that Mr. Belcher did. He is a true artist and has really given life to this bust with his painting. But hey I'm going to give it a go anyway. Well that's the review and a very nice bust it is. I hope to get others from David and Forlorn Hope Miniatures and hope John Belcher with give life to other bust from this company. Thanks and Regards Brock Hopkins III
