Since we don't have a specific place to report forum issues, I'm posting this here.

Today, when I access the forum and load any page, the page header-the area that contains the forum title/logo-shows for a second, then the lower part of the page, with the horizontal tab menu (shows Home, Forums, Galleries, etc) expands to fill the browser window.

I last visited the forum yesterday, and pages loaded correctly then.

Maybe an issue with a css or some other definition somewhere? I didn't see any obvious errors in the console (in dev tools) but I'm not a developer.

I'm running Firefox 108.0 on a Win10 machine. I don't know if it's just my machine and session, or if it's browser-specific, if it happens on a mobile device or tablet.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Best regards,
Brad

PS-why don't we have a forum to report forum technical issues? Maybe we should.

I should also note that it's only with PlanetFigure, that pages aren't loading correctly for me today. Nothing like this has happened on any other site I've visited so far today.

Prost!

If you have a technical issue, you can always contact me or Nap directly. I don't have Firefox but the forum shows OK in Explorer and Chrome.
I used an external service (browserling.com) to see how the website renders using Firefox and it was also OK.

Can you disable all plugins if you have any to see if it helps. Try using Explorer to see if it fixes the problem.

I'm using Chrome this morning, and the bug occurs with Chrome, too. Here's a screenshot, to illustrate what I see:

In this case, I'm using my work laptop. I have to check to see what plugins we have, but I might not be able to disable or remove them, since much of that is controlled by our IT staff. I do have LastPass installed, a password management tool. LastPass does interact with some of our applications, in that the icon to list stored passwords will appear in some text fields. It hasn't impacted how pages load, however, as far as I know.

I can still navigate, so it's more of a nuisance than a usability issue. But it's a change, and as a tester, it makes me look for things that could have caused it.

Prost!

You maybe connecting through a VPN if it is a work laptop and going through a company proxy. The proxy may block certain content creating the problem. Just guessing....

Actually, I just resolved it, in Firefox at least, and that was by re-enabling a particular ad blocker I have installed, uBlock Origin. I think it was disabled during the install of one of the recent FF releases. I noticed on some other sites that I saw ads that had been blocked since I first started using uBlock last year. I re-enabled it, and now the forum pages render correctly. The full page header is visible and does not compress.
I'll have to check Chrome and see but I expect it'll be the same root cause there.
Prost!
