Going through my vast amount of military prints I found this one .
It is a picture I took over ten years ago while visiting Abbotsford house in the Scottish borders.
Came as a surprise to come across a lot of nap stuff , I had been away from modelling for years by then so didn't take as many pics as I would now ; also I only had a crappy camera then.

So heres what I got . A polish lancer officers Capska a bit faded but the real deal.

Fantastic Ron,
With the silver stars on the raquettes and the silver embroidery he must have been a colonel at the least.
Also I notice no piping around the crown and a black Plume.
I wonder if it's from the garde squadron of Berg or summat else?

Thanks very much for posting this

Paul.

There is a lot of good stuff there Paul including the ubiquitous Cuirass with the canon ball hole , a Chasseur officer of the garde sabre d honour , telescope belonging to Bonaparte and several table items with the imperial bees guilded and embroidered on .
It is kinda scattered around among other historic items from different periods

Is that the Sir Walter Scott home ?

Yes Miro, a beautiful setting and full of surprises :; I must return some day soon and get some decent pictures.
It is not the only place in Scotland with relics of waterloo , Dalamally house has a room dedicated to Bonaparte and Wellington , will go there this year also.
