This kit is a WW1 British Lewis gunner from Model Cellar Productions. 120mm resin kit. Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Michael,

Firstly, welcome to Planet Figure and thank you for sharing your pictures with us.

I think you've already developed a very good painting style and your clearly understand how to create 3D effects through the use of shadows and highlights.

I particularly like the Model Cellar Lewis Gunner and the BAR Gunner. Well done and please continue to post more pics of your work.

Hello Michael and welcome to the planet. I agree with Tony with your understanding of the highlights and shadows. You need to look closer at eyes and how others are putting them in and get away from the zombie effect.

Welcome Michael! A great looking figure, I agree with Guy that the eyes look a bit odd.
Hope to see more of your work in the future.

Marcel.

Michael,
Good work. The eyes looks a little popeyed. You can correct it with a darker color (raw umber for instance) for the upper eyelid, and some lighter dark color for the undereyelid (burnt sienna). You line the eyelids off and it looks better. The blackspot (pupil) must be bigger. If you look at a eye in life, you see that the white is alot smaller then you imagine. The iris and pupil are about 3/4 of the eye.

Marc

I am going to try to correct the eyes. Not my best effort here! Though....the figure is sculpted with a face with alot of "character' and that actually made this one harder. I liked this figure for the mix of cloth, leather and metals.

Spammers Not Wanted !!!!!

Hi guys :) !
Have to agree with Marc there; if you have nothing on figures, please STAY AWAY from this wonderful site :mad::mad: !!!! Gordy, please remover this rubbish post immediately ! Cheers !
Kenneth :p.

Away with the rubish !
Concerning the figure of lock-n-load: change the eyes and add some mud on the boots. would improve your piece a lot. Keep on painting !
