Frankish Warrior

Pegaso's 75mm Frankish Warrior 6th Century, painted in acrylics. I've just found this great new acrylic colour from Matisse called "Australian Ghost Gum" that I've used to lighten my normal flesh mix to give him that pasty European pallor, and to paint the tunic. I've normally used a Vallejo sky grey for this, and this new paint allows a softer highlighting.

Your new technique works a dream

I love the muting and softness of the highlights.

It's very true to the light of grey Northern skies and so realistic.
