Hi Mike

Really like the painting on this , facings look good ( I quite like the orange facings ) as does the fleshwork and the helmet

Did you replace the sling on the musket ?

Do like the way he is positioned into the window

Look forward to a update with the weathering ......

....why not put a piece into FOTM as well as voting in the previous month

This is a piece I've never had ...but tempted !!

Happy benchtime

Great job so far Mike and really like the addition of the building/window. Lovely work on the green jacket-is it a mix or colour straight from the tube? Green is one of those colours that cause me problems in respect of drying flat or with a sheen. I use an old Phil Kessling mix from a Military Modelling article several moons ago.

Great painting Mike, great colour and I like the yellow facings, although I would go for pink.
Is the window frame going to stay, looks good.

Hi Bob and many thanks for commenting...the building was just a bit of scenery I was playing about with ages ago...did intend to extend it at sometime..Mike(y)

Hi Kev and thanks for looking....the sling is the foil which is supplied with the figure ...just a delicate cutting and fitting to the musket .(y). Mike

Hi Neal and thanks for looking....the green is an undercoat of humbrol grass green and then I used Oilbrusher dark green over...let it settle for a while and then with a clean dry brush lifted the dark green oil sparingly over the high points...you can highlight to your taste when dry...(y) Mike

Thanks for that Mike, appreciate the tip.

That's a beautiful piece Mike, & it's nice to see the little tip about the green facings - it's good to see some AFV modelling skills being transferred over to other modelling genres.
