Constantine, Nice job on the French Standard Bearer! You really did a nice job on him. Like the way you painted the dark blue and white. Standard is well done as well. How did you make the flag, standard please?

Thanks for sharing!(y)

Hi Terry,

Firstly I did the paper copy of Flag and draw lines of the main geometry and decors by pencil.
Then I folded the paper similar an original sculpted Flag. Such draft gave me more or less clear position where and how all color segments and decors should be placed on real sculpt. Then I draw by pencil lines and placement of main decors elements on the prime base coloring Flag and started painting. ;)

Hope it helps you.

Cheers

Superb painting on this Constantin as always with your pieces, and thank you for the SBS on the Flag.

From a selfish point of view it is a pity there is no etching on the flag-I couldn't begin to paint this freehand, I think it will probably appeal only to the more artistic modellers. It's a pity because with more work on the flag I think FL could potentially sell more. I'll have to restrict myself to their original release which I have in my grey army.

Coward maybe, but I know my limits and try to paint within them. Same goes for Tartans, all of the Tartans in my collection have been commissions.

Thanks for kindly words, Keith!

It was not difficult to do such lines and etching on the Flag.
But I'm sure this is limit many great painters who'll like their own variant of Flag.
For me the additional attraction of this figure that a lot of variants of the Flag are possible to paint.
So no limits :)
The main problem for me in our hobby is thinking about limit own possibilities. Please try and I'm sure you win.

Cheers

Well done Konstantin especially the flag. I'll save your short how to discussion about the flag to consult when I do my kit.
