Hello,

This is my latest sculpting effort. The figure is now ready to paint.
It depicts a Frisian peasant warrior during the second crusades at Lisbon 1147.
Sculpting is done with Duro and Magic sculpt. The head is from Tank.
The flail is stil loose and still needs some work, and a strap will be attached for his bag during painting.
The figure is fixed on a temperary base.
Scale is 1:35

Kind regards,

You have done a nice job Robert and an interesting subject also, will he be standalone or part of a vignette ?

Steve

Robert, nice sculpting with a well balanced natural pose. Will he be wearing a hat or helmet or was that the hair style of the day.

Cheers Ken

Hello all,

Thanks for the kind replies!

Guy, the figure is primed now, first on holiday to the Ardennes, then i will start painting.

Steve, it will be a stand alone. It will be part of a series of Frisian warriors ( I am a frisian myself) that i am making.
Here are some more in progress:

And some information

And this was a battle a kilometre from where I live

Ken, no helmet or so. The had a viking kind of hairstyle, sometimes even mohawks.

John, thanks. Sculpting figures gives unlimited freedom in the subjects you want.

Jason thanks.

greets,
RJ
