Hi Canonball, thanks for comment.
In the Napoleonic era is red a many used colour. Every time is it a challenge to use it. But sometimes is it good to take a figure/bust with other colours...;)

Beautiful work. The lace and the variation of the reds, particularly the deeper burgundy red of the dolman. This is one of my favorite Pegaso figures.

It is for me a fouvarite too. You have seen the difference in red well. I have seen other painted ones in the same red colour. It isn't correct. here some references.

Thanks for the references Ben. I've been playing around with mixes for the dolman, but haven't hit the right blend. Always looks too brown. What did you use?

I paint my models with Humbrol enamels. For the dolman I use dark red with shadow mixed with dark green. The trousers are painted with bright red.
