I have had this kit for a few months and decided to make it my next project. It is the first kit I have seen that is cast in white resin.

The kit comes in a sturdy box with foam pillows between parts. No instructions or painting guide except for Box Art on top of box. All the fine sculpted parts are in one bag with the larger body / torso parts in another.

Opening the Torso bag first I see a very clean cast, few mold lines with peg fittment provided for the front and back of the jacket. Mold plugs will have to be carefully cut away but are not excessive. The head is separate and has a mold plug all the way across the top of the head. Extreme care will have to be shown here as the mold plug contours down into the upper forehead. The helmet is separate casted part and has mold plug right at the top. Locator plugs are used for positioning the helmet properly on the head.

The separate bag containing all the smaller parts, sword, blade, scabbard, sash are all cleanly cast with minimal mold lines. The cords that hold the scabbard are very thin and frail and will require special care as to painting and attaching to the body. The kit comes with a large oval resin base and an arrow quiver as an accessory.

Overall I find the kit to be well engineered and the casting excellent. I would recommend this kit for the experienced figure artist.

I have to agree with Guy's comments. I bought this kit at Euro last year, and indeed it looks excellent.

Looking forward to seeing how you proceed Guy!

Hey Guy,

I will follow this SBS. I personally don't like resin figure's, i find it most at the time a bad fitting what needs a lot off Miliput.
But i hope you can deal with it. I hope you bring him a life very soon on the planet.

Marc

Hey Marc,
I test fit all the pieces of this figure and there is a perfect fit with no filling. The Osceola kit I just did was also resin with no filling needed. I think alot is the manufacturer and how the painter cuts the mold block (if any) off. When resin first came out I did not like them either but got used to them and they got better over the years as well.
