Hi all!

We are a new studio producing figurines in 1/32 scale, and very often some questions appear during our work. I hope we can find help in here.

Like with this one. About a three months ago we'd made a figure of a Genoese Crossbowman, Battle of Crecy; 1346. In the begining we painted it one way, but with the time being, some styles of painting changed and up to now there are 7 different motives of painting. What do you think which one looks more realistic? And what's your opinion on the whole work? (We did a sculpture too.)

Very good work with the shields
I prefer the lion.It is less complicated but looks more natural and with a great taste of colour.Next choise is the last shield(great painting also)

Well, it may just be the photo but the flesh tones on number 4 seem a bit light to me. Other than that, I must admit they are all very nicely done. I like them all! I think the black rampant lion may be my favorite sheild design if that counts.

Another question about its posture.

The figure shows the moment, when a crossbowman is preparing to arm his crossbow. Thats why he turned back to enimies being covered with his pavise and able to arm his weapon safely.

But one guy told me that it's not true. It's impossible to shoot from a crossbow with a pavise on a back and looks suicidal.

Does somebody know where the truth is in that? Or where I can read about it?

Thanks.
