Another WIP that has been going on for too long. George V (of the UK) from El Taller. First time for me to paint a horse. Still some details left to do before I get to the really scary part: the reigns etc.

Looks good so far (y)
Reins can be a bit of a fiddle, but not that much of a problem really. I make mine from paper, but lead strip (or lead fly tying strip) work just as well. A pair of dividers can be useful, although I usually attach them to teh bridle overlength and then cut in situ with a sharp pair of scissors (I scrounged mine from a nurse after she put a bunch of stitches in my hand a few years ago and keep them just for this job)
I've also found easier to get one side done first then put aside for the glue to dry before tackling the second side (But I am pretty clumsy, which explains the stitches) :ROFLMAO:
Stay safe and have a good New Year

Thanks Paul. I really appreciate the advice (and the subtle spelling correction:oops:). A metal strip is included with the kit, so I'll use that. There are also some 'figure-of-eight' looking pieces that I imagine are eyelets for the rein to attach to near the horse's mouth. Anyway, with the excellent box art as a guide, I should be able to figure it out.
Happy New Year and careful with the fireworks
