Hello friends in Planetfigure,

I have in my hands the well know figure in 90mm, German Officer WWII (Stauffenberg) that now is available from the new company of the well known Master Painter Man-Jin Kim, Man-Jin Miniatures. This figure Box Art was my cover of the 7th book in Scale Model Handbook Series, Figure Modelling 7. The article was made by Man Jin with a lot of SBS photos (over 60). He combined acrylics and oils! Really it is an awesome sculpting and painting. Most of you already know the figure from ST Miniatures was out of stock for a long time. Now you have the opportunity to have this beauty in your collection! (As also all the codes of ST collection). It is casted in High Quality Resin (10 pieces). Almost ready to paint. The only thing that you need to do is to remove the tiny molding blocks with a small razor or sharp knife. There are no molding lines or air bubbles!!! It is very impressive! I like very much the surface of this grey resin and the sculpting of Ho, Seo!!! Take a look at the following photos for more information and personal evaluation. For orders or inquiries please visit the site: www.mj-miniatures.co.kr. and see the field “Where to buy”

Very well done technically but with a couple of major errors if it's meant to be Stauffenberg. The box does not say Stauffenberg but the eye patch and resemblance to Tom Cruise make it clear that this is supposed to be him, as seen in Valkyrie. Stauffenberg lost the final 2 fingers of his left hand in Africa but the casting shows all 5 present. Also he likely would not have worn the leather trench as it was never a Wehrmacht issued item, and certainly not in July 44 in the Summer heat at Wolf's Lair. I would have snapped this up had he not been wearing the coat.

He still looks the business...even if he has too many fingers (y)

And a reasonable price from Historex too :)

Another one for the list methinks.

Cheers,
Billy

I bought this recently and can attest to the flawless casting.

The "base" that comes with the figure needs to be filed down a tad to fit onto a 60 x 60 mm base.

Hello Osman,
Do not forget that a detailed SBS article has been published in Scale Model Handbook 7, Figure Modellind 7 in which Man Jin Kim used combining painting method with acrylics and oils. Very good technique for a newcomer with a lot of information!
