Dan,

I have two Military Modelling of the early nineties and a german book about uniforms, which may help your quest.

My Computer was belly up all the week and I come back later on this at the weekend !

Dan,

I have the following:

Military Modelling January 1992 with a colour plate of uniforms and Jan 1994 with an article about several 54mm conversions .

Then there is a book "Deutsche Uniformen und Seitengewehre 1841-1945"
whose title is a bit misleading . It's actually a pictorial with 310 good photos with blow ups of mostly imperial german uniforms and has a good lot of marine uniform pics, too. The good news is that it is bilingual. ISBN is 3-934001-01-7.

Unfortunately I don't have anything deep or on operational history. However I saw a book about "Marinekorps Flandern" years ago so there must be something out.

Let me know if I can help you more.
Manfred

Maybe I should clarify a little more what I'm trying to find. I know Zinnfiguren have some 52 or 54 mm figures of WWI German Marinekorps Flandern sailors. I found those in a web search, but the pics on the site were very poor and I didn't care for the figure poses, etc.

As a project for 2005 I'd like to scratch-build/sculpt a 120mm figure of a German Marinekorps Flandern sailor serving as infantry in Belgium - 1914, 15, or 16 - possibly on sentry or look-out duty with a trench or fortress background. Kind of depends what I get in the way of photos to work from.... The Kaiserliche Marine web pages were very helpful, but didn't exactly get me where I want to go. There is at least one very good, but expensive ($280) reference available, but, frankly, that's a little spendy for me.

Does anybody have any scans or photos they can just e-mail to [email protected]?

Thanks!!!
