This is the Pegaso 75 mm Germanic Warrior. I blcked in the face and pants and cured skin in Vallejo and have finished the face in oils. I will be doing the pants and skin in oils also. I think its my best face yet. Hair was naples yellow and titanium white, with a touch of red and then drybrushed with a lighter shade. And the call me goofy but a wash of vallejo English Uniform. Thoughts and comments most welcome.

PS my picture taking skills are still lacking.

James altough it s too early to draw any conclusions my suggestion whould be to go for more contrast both on the fleshtones and the hair. I ve tried to do an SBS on painting flesh with oils some time ago here on the planet on the painting section so you could check it out. Might find it usefull.
Regards.

Nice start James, dimitrios is right it needs a bit more depth. The flesh tones are really good and it could be called done but just pushing a bit further will net you some really great results. Try making (in oils) a darker shade of your darkest fleshtone and work it into the hollows of the face blending it out to the high points. this is a 75mm so it doesn't take a bunch, maybe even try thinning it a little so you will have a little more control. I am not talking a wash but a controlled use of the color. This is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth which probably isn't much. I do look forward to seeing the progress on this guy.

Thanks guys. When I look at the real thing it looks okay, My picture taking makes it look washed out. So I have adjusted the contrast and light on this picture. Does it look better or am I still missing depth?

I am not sure exactly where to add more.
Still it is better than my other figures I'm sure you'll agree.

Oh and I used to go under the tag Hagar.

Thanks everyone. A bit more of an update. Still plugging away but this is where I am so far.
