WIP Critique Giving a try...

Hi!
This is my humble attempt to sculpt a original figure for myself trying to do a simple pose. I will try to transform this mannequin 75 mm in a Minuteman milicia in the next months.
Any considerations are welcome.
Ps: sorry for the photo but my health condition don't let me do better at the moment.

Hi pmfs, if you don't mind some advice? before going much further I would sort out your engineering,
e.g. it looks from your photo as if you want to have your figure holding a musket? If this is so,it would be a good idea to make the hands hold the gun now, before sculpting any detail.

Yes, not that I'm Mr Expert Figure Scultpor of the year, but I reckon you'll find it easier in the long run to sculpt the hand to anything the figure is holding, then attach hands at the wrist joint. Maybe somebody on here can improve upon my suggestion though.
