Hello friends of Planetfigure,

I have in my hands one of the latest releases of Legacy Miniatures and I must say that it is impressive. I knew that was a digital sculpting and it is the first time for me to see the result of 3D sculpting in front of my eyes! As you will see by your self the casting also is amazing! Just clean one small casting block, some minimal clean up of the molding line in the back (a very easy surface to clean with a wet sandpaper) and go on to painting! The high quality resin has captured even the smallest detail of the real person that the digital file was based on!! I also think that the theme will atract more fans as it is unique!

Tip: Some small changes and you can have a French or Belgian soldier of WWI or WWII…

Having seen this painted, I say it's a great bust! Highly recommended to all the fans of the era.

The end is nigh for poor sculptors & some good ones I think sadly.

Best looking 3D face I've seen & painted up it even more ominous.

The times they are a changing...

Thanks for sharing Stelios can you share original photo for us please?

I have bought this bust. It is absolutely perfect in any aspect; 3d printing or not, does not matter at all since the model is perfectly casted and unique as a subject. Furthermore, it can be easily turned to a french or belgian soldier of wwI.

Mike - Respectfully disagree - there is room for both just as there is room for various painting media. I knew this was a digisculpt as soon as I saw it (they have a certain feel) and its really really good. Just as some prefer classic busts to half figures some will prefer these to manual sculpts. I am glad to see digi progressing to be able to offer such good castings. I can also see the day when we will see manually sculpted figures and busts with digisculpted equipment, awards, hats etc.

Hi Guys ,

Saw this at Euro ..should have picked one up , really like the face on this ..full of character , 3D sculpting or not ..a great subject not often depicted and so full of conversion potential as well .

Nice pictures Stelios , like the painting mixes that have been included ..a nice touch

Oh so tempted .............

Thanks for sharing

Dear Kevin,
Here it is the face in which the 3D Sculpting was based on. As you can see the similarity is awesome. This is a photo of a Greek soldier from the Greco-Italian War 1940-1941 but is was perfect choice for the theme! Andreas Motsios has done the "3D Computer Sculpting".
