Could one of the Mods please rotate the images for me? When I viewed them on my PC prior to submission they were properly orientated...…..
Many thanks in advance!

Thanks very much Kev, I’m obliged to you. I uploaded the photos all full image because I wanted to see how they would hold up to close scrutiny - if I upload any more & rotate them horizontally before doing that, would they appear the right way up?

The base colour I used for the uniform was Panzer Aces British Tank Crew, & tweaked the shades of jacket & cap by using darker washes until I was happy with the results. The map was a Verlinden 1/35 one cut to shape & glued to the open face of the map case. I really enjoyed painting this figure, first time I’ve done anything larger than 1/35 or 54mm for ages, & I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Hi Chris

Yes that should work but don't hesitate to ask if I can help

Was wondering about the map ...looks good

Too small a scale for me so all credit to you

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next from your bench

Thanks very much for your kind comment Neal, I'm very much aware that your rendition of this figure is in progress & it was seeing yours that inspired me to complete mine.

Initially I painted the map case as being empty, but it didn't look right so I added the Verlinden map to add some interest. The difference in scales isn't that much, & I picked a generic one from the sheet to cut down (the Normandy beaches or Ardennes Offensive ones just wouldn't have looked right...…..)

Super figure, it really is, not as easy to paint as it initially looks. Those colours are spot on mate. Skin tones excellent.
Just off the the chiropractor now to get my neck re-adjusted...;)

Really very nice paint job and base too......:D :D

Thanks very much for your kind comments guys, much appreciated!
Re the orientation of the photos, after you’d adjusted them yesterday Kev, they appeared the right way up on my iPad too but when I viewed them again on my PC this morning they were still on their side.....go figure (excuse the pun).

Perhaps next time I upload some photos, if I start off with them on their side & alter the orientation before I upload (they were taken with an iPad to begin with) they will come out correctly when published on the site. I’ll play about with it.
