Hello lads, my latest project is done. Figures are from Glorious Empires - 30 mm. I hope you like it and all comments are welcome. j.

Very nice work, but in my opinion a flat should have more contrast.
It seems so pale (but the fotographic light could be the course)\

Marc

thanks marc, i guess the light a bit disort the scene, but you re right - never enough of contrasts for flats :)

I actually disagree with the comments supporting higher contrast in your piece. I really like your lower contrast, more realistic style. Don't feel you need to follow the herd. There is room for individual style and expression.

thank you so much for your kind and honest comment (y)

Pěkně a čistě namalované, krásné přechody stínování. Moc pěkná práce... :)

Nice and clean painting, beautiful transition of shading. Very nice paintwork...:)

Cheers Borek

I think you have produced a lovely piece of work here, certainly a labour of love to paint so many figures with such precision. In my opinion the contrast is spot on and most importantly you have been consistent in the light source, I suppose the level of contrast is down to individual taste,so well done it ticks all the boxes for me.

Looking back at the pictures the contrast seems to vary with the brightness of the setting.

thanks keith, i have the same feeling that the photo as i ve loaded is too bright.....touche ;)
anyway, looking back after the year, i painted it too clean, without overlap shadows, missing more drama :)....i hope one day i ll come back to this to add missing parts

I think this is a very impressive job, especially considering the size of the figures as well as the various clusters/groupings. You're a braver man than I am Gunga Din.
