Good morning
We are pleased to present the company's first bust:

Jacobite Highlander, Culloden Moor, 1746

In 1746, at Culloden Moor, was fought the last battle of the "forty-five", the third and last jacobite uprising that ended up with the total defeat of Prince Charles Edward Stuart's cause.

The Jacobite army, mainly formed by Scottish Highlands clans, faced a British task force that was almost double in number and included artillery, cavalry and much modern weaponry. Tired and hungry after a long night march, the Jacobites entered scattered in the battlefield and, in spite of their courage, their disorganized charges and the superiority of the enemy caused a total defeat. After the battle, the Duke of Cumberland ordered the execution of all the Jacobite prisoners and wounded. Most of those who managed to escape emigrated to the colonies to avoid the repression, that included details such as the banning of wearing Kilt and tartan except for those in British Army Scottish regiments or the use of the pipes, regarded as "weapon of war". Culloden Moor is, until today, the last battle fought in British soil.

In our version, we have tried to portray the typical outfit of a Jacobite highlander, including a couple of heads and some minor options that we hope may offer a wide array of possibilities of building and painting.

Yeah, I prefer the 2nd head option too; it just has that look that says "combat veteran" to me :woot:.
Good job on this first release (y).
Cheers !
Kenneth.

A subject that hasnt been catered for much already. I like the idea with two heads and wouldnt mind more option if possible depending on the subject. Im not sure it the paintingstyle in the boxart does the faces justice?

Marvelous bust. Like the second head.
Maybe it is the painting of the first that disattrackt me. Its the overpainting in the highlights.
Definitely on the to buy list.

Marc

I'm stunned with this fantastic bust. Both heads looks great to me. Good luck with your new venture guys.

Xenofon

Very nice bust indeed, I also prefer the bearded head cos he looks more cranky.

P.S. is this one meant to be a hero or a villian?

I'm with the second head crew it looks great not that the other isn't a nice head just the second has the right "feel". And as Keith said it's by far the better paint job IMO. Mark he's Scottish so naturally a villain :sneaky:

Steve

I agree that the 2 head idea is brilliant and that the second version is far more interesting! Good luck!

Nice bust, and I like the "young" head option - it's closer to my visual idea of "The Master of Ballantrae".

Look forward to seeing what's next (y)

Steve there must be something wrong with your keyboard.....obviously you meant.....Scottish so naturally a deep thinker:cautious: , considerate lover:love: and generous to a fault:angelic: .
Always happy to clarify and ammend :smug:

I like both heads. Probably on balance prefer the 'young' face, easy enough to see beyond the painting style, being an oil painter this style is too much for me but a great release. Looking forward to tomorrows release.
Cheers
Derek
