Any suggestions for painting sun bleached brown hair or blond hair?

A simple mix:
earth+english uniform+yellow ochre
L:+yellow ochre,+golden yellow,+ice yellow
S:english uniform,+brown

Red Feather, you may also want to try adding a very small drop of olive green into your shadow mix. This was a tip Shepard Paine put into one of his great diorama books many years ago, and its always worked well for me. If you wash the green shadow mix on very thinly it should create a very convincing shadow for blonde or brown hair.

I agree with Tony,that's why I use english uniform for the mix(it has green feeling).A little black will also be nice.

Doesn't really matter if its oils or acrylics. I tend to work in acrylics now, but it works with oils as well.

I use Dixoxazine mauve to shade my yellow colors.
It's simply the complementary colors theory.
