Not a new figure as such, as already started him in this thread, but as the other two are finished thought i would give him his own thread. Decided to pick up the hairy sticks and carry on, with one thing and another, havent had much time to get on with figures. Plastic bits are not so demanding or time intensive. you can glue a bit here and there and leave for a while, where as with figure painting its not so easy, anyway;

Hi Steve

Great to see this on its own thread ....flesh is looking good

Really neat blocking in on the pelise and rank badges

Did you use Dark Prussian Blue as a base colour ?

There's a bust version as well ...Mmmmmm might have to check the GA

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Hi Kevin,
You must of had the bust version at least once before, if not more ;)

Hi steve,
Glad to see you are back at this classic figure and look forward to seeing your progress.

This is a superb figure. David Grieve used to release a new figure at EuroMilitaire. Nelson did well, but this figure did not, possibly due to the tall busby (?). For whatever reason, poor sales, family issues, &c. he didn't produce another figure and closed the business. He has recently done a brace of Household Cavalry 'V' busts for Graham Scollick (CGS Miniatures), but at £40 these are not cheap, notwithstanding the excellence of any of David's work.

That's a BIG figure. Full credit Steve - there's nowhere to hide on something this size but you are handling it extremely well.

Hi Steve

Good update from you both on the blue and rank stripes they look very neat

Interesting you don't basecoat all areas and then paint

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Nice update there

Certainly a impressive sculpt ...I am waiting for the bust to arrive from John at Hawk ......possibly a project to see me into 2021

Nice and neat on the lacing and the barrel sash certainly is colourful

Thanks for sharing

Happy Christmas to you and all family hope to catch up next year

Hi Nap,
It is on its way posted on the 14th so hopefully should be with you before Xmas.

Steve,
Steady hand on all that lacing and the figure is looking good so far.

Regards
