Just a reminder to those who want to see pFer Anders Heintz eat prodigious quantities of beans and coerce large bovine creatures across wide open spaces, tune in Monday night, 1 May, to your local PBS station to catch "Texas Ranch House, 1867." Should be a real gas!

It's been on my Yahoo reminder for weeks! I've never been friends with a celebrity before!

What's next for Anders? Maybe VH-1's "The Surreal Life?"

Hola Guys,

Thank you for letting people know about the show. Its not really something I like to tell a lot of people as one never knows how its going to turn out.

I watched the whole series tonight (8 hrs....) and Im not right sure what to think just yet. There are some great moments but I honestly feel that they left out a lot of stuff that should have been there. 8 hours of TV is a lot, but 12 weeks of filming condensed into 8 hrs of tv is kind of crammed.

It gets really interesting about episode 3-4 though, there is a lot of drama but still some good things.

Even though I really didnt appear much in the show, it was an experience I would never take back, and I would gladly do it again.

My wife and I DVR'd it, so we'll watch it as time allows, but after seeing a few minutes of it last night, it looks fascinating. (My wife had a stomach virus a few weeks ago, so she could sympathize with the cowboys who came down with something similar.)

Are you still going to be on a promotional tour this week rather than MFCA?

Best of luck....

Just don't go and do any of those garbage shows on MTV. :) ~Gary

Stephen,

Yes, unfortunatley I will miss MFCA as I have to be in Ohio on Saturday, there just isnt enough time.

Gary,

Dont worry!! I hated the drama, and to be on a show where they deliberately try to make you as bad looking as possible is not for me.

Ah the magic of film Editing. The one thought that came to mind is was everyone's true self portrayed? Though I have a feeling of what the answer may be. You seemed to blend in pretty well, nothing wrong with flying under the radar. Too bad about MFCA.~Gary

It is an interesting show, for sure. It seems PBS liked to concentrate on the issues between the cowboys and the rancher family. I'd be more interested in seeing how the cowboys learned to work as a team to round up those steers. And in the beginning, the rancher said he was going to ride out with the cowboys, but everytime he had an excuse. A very appropriate comment by Anders about the rancher, "He needs to grow some balls. Can I say that on tv?" Ha Ha Ha...
