Hi,
Need help in finding heads in 54mm to suit Airfix 1/32 US Infantry. The ones in the set seem somewhat small and IMHO are closer to 1/35.
TIA,
Regards,
P.N.

I think that there are some good companies who sell excellent heads.
For instance: Wolff, Hornet, making extremely well sculpted heads. I don't know if they make US Infantry heads, but some putty and plastic sheet will do the job.

The Hornet 54mm ones are great. To me the Historex ones are good, too. Milminwh has some as well although I don't have any of them myself.

If the Airfix kit are a little on the small side for your taste then Hornet heads, which are true 1/35, will definitely be too small. They can work for 1/32 scale but only for the tall, lean figure type.

Some of the spare heads available from Historex are very good, but they're mostly or all a little larger than 1/32 really, although they might suit.

Same thing with the heads I sculpted for MIG Productions, which are mostly around 1/30 scale, although individual ones are smaller. You can't link directly to the pages these are on any more since the site was redesigned but here are the preview pics:

Einion,
Thank you for your reply. Great work on your sculpting! I will ckeck out the MIG and HISTOREX sites to see what suits my need.
Cheers,

Haven't checked out Wolff. Will do so now.
Thank you,
Peter.

Thank's for getting back to me. Still looking around but in the end, Historex is probably my top option.
Cheers,
Peter
