[Andy Garringer]

My name is Andy Garringer and I have been interested in military history and started building models and painting figures from a very young age which eventually led to American Civil War reenacting. I participated in that hobby for over 15 years, first with infantry, then artillery and eventually on to reenacting as Major General George Armstrong Custer. I portrayed the General in the TV miniseries North and South Book II. I ended my reenacting with the 125th anniversary of Gettysburg.

To keep my interest alive I started collecting Civil War action figures and customizing them for collectors.

Besides that hobby, I also love Universal Monsters as my Dad and I used to watch them when I was a teenager. I have painted some of those figures and busts as well.

I no longer paint too many figures but I am looking forward to viewing others work and possibly producing some busts on my own.
